Before the Rebrand: Two Brands, One Company

For years, ARC operated under two distinct brands that served complementary roles within the dealership industry.

  • Automotive Reinsurance Concepts – focused on F&I products including reinsurance programs, warranties, GAP, and vehicle service agreements.
  • SmartGroups – focused primarily on dealership 20 Groups and performance consulting.

While both brands were successful individually, operating as separate identities created unnecessary complexity.

Each brand maintained its own:

  • Logo and visual identity
  • Marketing materials
  • Website and domain
  • Digital presence

The result was a fragmented brand structure that did not fully communicate ARC’s complete value to dealers.


The Vision: One Brand, One Unified Message

Working closely with ARC owner Justin Osburn, we launched a 3–4 month strategic planning process to determine the best path forward.

This process included:

  • Strategic discovery meetings with ARC leadership.
  • Two comprehensive 31-point digital marketing evaluations covering both companies.
  • Short- and long-term planning including marketing strategy and execution timelines.
  • Brand alignment discussions focused on combining ARC’s full range of services into a single identity.

Through this process, the strategy became clear:

Merge consulting, training, 20 Groups, and F&I solutions into one unified brand.

That unified identity became ARC Nation — a brand designed to serve dealership needs through one clear voice and one digital destination.

Our Role in the Rebrand

In collaboration with VisionAmp Web Design, Critchfield Consulting delivered a full-service rebrand and digital relaunch.

The ARC rebranding project included:

  • Logo rebranding – creating a modern identity that reflected ARC’s expanded services.
  • Custom website development – more than 70 pages of new, SEO-optimized content.
  • Domain consolidation – implementing permanent 301 redirects and backend programming to merge two domains into one.
  • Content strategy – building a comprehensive resource hub including blogs, videos, articles, white papers, and industry resources.
  • Digital marketing integration – SEO, SEM, analytics tracking, and lead generation systems.
  • Visual asset development – photography, video, and imagery optimized for the new brand.
  • Collateral redesign – updated brochures, business cards, stationery, email signatures, and social media graphics.
